One of the most budget-friendly ways to reach Nesat Village is by taking a bus and finishing the journey with a short transfer by motorbike or tuk-tuk. Bus tickets can be booked online via www.camboticket.com or through the VET app.

Book any bus heading to Koh Kong. When boarding, simply inform the driver that you’d like to get off at Boeung Preav/Bus Station NESAT BEACH. You can show them this pin:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/gaCJGBuELRfvh8jV7. Most drivers will recognise it once shown on the map.

🛵 From the Bus Stop to Nesat Village

Once you’ve arrived at the bus station, you can easily find a local motorbike taxi to take you to Nesat Village. Rides take 30 minutes and cost approximately $5 USD.

If you’re travelling in a group, a tuk-tuk is an ideal option and can be arranged in advance through your guesthouse. We recommend letting them know your arrival time at least one hour in advance to avoid waiting—approximately 10usd. 

 

  • By Shared Minivan /Taxi from Phnom Penh

For a cheaper and more direct option, you can take a shared minivan/ taxi from Phnom Penh to Nesat Village. Unlike the bus, the shared minivan /taxi will drop you off directly in the village — no additional transfers needed.

One taxi leaves daily from a location near Depot Market in Phnom Penh

To secure a seat, contact +855 96 746 1949 / +855 71 746 1946 (Khmer speaking only). Your hotel or guesthouse can call and confirm for you.

When you arrive, ask for the shared taxi to Chrouy Svay/Phum Barang.

🕐 Departure Time: The taxi usually departs between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm, depending on when it fills up.

  • $12.50 for a backseat 
  • $17.50 for a front seat (slightly more space)

Although this option is direct, the journey can take longer than expected. Shared Minivans typically take National Road 4 instead of the highway and may make several stops along the way to pick up or drop off passengers or goods.

 

Return Trip: The bus leaves Nesat Village between 7 and 8 am and returns to Phnom Penh. To book a seat, speak to your guesthouse the day before.

If you’re travelling by car or motorbike, reaching Nesat Village is straightforward—but be aware that Google Maps directions can sometimes be misleading, especially in the final stretch.

🚗 From Phnom Penh to Nesat Village

If you’re riding a motorbike over 500cc, you’re allowed to use the Phnom Penh–Sihanoukville Expressway.

  • Take Exit: Tollgate No. 5 – Kampong Seila – PPSHV Expressway 
  • Continue onto National Road 4 
  • Turn right onto National Road 48 
  • Turn left at the junction to Srae Ambel 
  • Then turn left again toward Nesat Beach Tourism Site 
  • Follow this road for approximately 14 km 
  • Turn left toward Nesat Village 
  • By Private Taxi or Minivan

For maximum comfort and time efficiency, you can book a private car or minivan directly to Nesat Village. This option is ideal for travellers on a tight schedule, families, or groups who want a smooth and direct journey.

Private drivers usually choose the expressway over the national road, making this the fastest way to get to the village. The road toll is already included in the price.
