Distance from the village: 1.2km 15-minute walk. 2 minutes drive
Hidden in the middle of a quiet cashew farm, this old quarry is a short walk from the village and is the ideal spot to cool off on a hot day. Filled with fresh, blue water, The Lagoon has become our local swimming hole. Head there early in the morning to catch the sunrise as it reflects off the water’s surface. The lagoon’s high banks provide some nice shade in the afternoon, and there are some natural ledges if you’re up for jumping in (always check the depth beforehand). There are no shops or restaurants nearby, so pack some snacks and drinks, and be sure to leave no trace behind.
